Aidan's Pov
"Does it hurt?"
"It does. A lot." She paused for a moment. "Are you still sure you want to do this? It's okay if you don't. I've told you that a million times."
"I do want it. I want to be with you forever."
"Werewolves doesn't live forever. We just live longer than humans."
"I know. I want this. Just get it over with."
"Okay. Don't be scared."
She started growling, preparing herself for the bite. And then she jumped on me, knocking me to the ground.
The bite itself hurt more than i had ever felt in my life. Even when i was a kid and fell on my bike and scraped my knee. It was ten, no a hundred times worse when she bit me. Venom ran through my veins. I felt sick, like i was going to throw up. She helped me stand again. Someone knocked on the door."Are you okay in there?" It was my mothers voice.
"Ye-yes I'm fine. Thanks," I called out to her, my voice stammering horribly. I was still chocked by the sudden attack by my girlfriend.
"You're gonna have to move out soon." Wilhemina whispered so my mom wouldn't hear. "I don't think they would understand. People normally doesn't." She looked down at her feet, saddened by the fact that she had never been accepted by anyone else, except for me.
"I understand it." I said.
We started kissing. It heated up as we moved over to the bed. We started ripping our clothes off and got under the covers. I loved her body. Even though she was furry, she was still the love of my life and i couldn't imagine my life without her. "I love you," I told her for the millionth time. "I love you too," she said, as she disappeared under the covers and did unspeakable things to me, that despite the pain i was still able to enjoy to the fullest.
I had always loved magic tricks. The way magicians just made things appear out of nowhere! I had talked about it a lot before, and people urged me to start out myself, so i decided to sign up as a magician with a proprietor in town. Afterwards i went down to the winter festival to perform my first tricks for tips.
I had to wear a silly outfit, but i didn't mind. I was finally doing something with my life. And i loved it, even though no one gave me a tip. It didn't break my spirit. I knew that in time i would become the greatest magician this town had ever seen!
A couple days later i went back to the festival. This time people looked at the show and they tipped me a total of 12 simoleons! This was definitely progress.
But then something happened that set me back for a while in the magician showbiz. A week after i had been bitten by Wilhemina, i woke up to a strange feeling in my body. It felt like it was clenching itself and my insides were writhing with a ferocity i hadn't experienced before. It hurt like hell and it only got worse for every second that passed. I felt as my body changed and became more hairy and i developed claws instead of fingers, my jaw changed dramatically and i got fangs instead of teeth.
And then it was all over. I was a werewolf, a creature of the full moon, desperately seeking approval from those around me. I knew no one other than Wilhemina and her family would understand why i had chosen this way of life. She had told me that i could kind of change form into a human so you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but i didn't want to have to hide my whole life. We would be wolves together and nothing could stop us!
I went back to bed trying to think over the best possible way to tell my family about what i had become. I decided it would be best to tell them while looking like a human.
The next day when i woke up everyone was either at school or at work. I looked into the mirror to check out my new face. I looked horrible! My jaw was all wrong and my fangs stood out of my mouth. the only t hing i really liked was my claws. They were beautiful. I knew it was all worth it. Now Wilhemina and I could truly be together as we were meant to be. I changed into human form. It was painful at first, but then the pain subsided and i was able to move forward with my day. I practiced my magic tricks all day until everyone was home. Then i called Wilhemina and we gathered everyone in the living room for a meeting.
"So," I started, with everybody in the room looking at either me or my girlfriend. "I know you are all wondering why you are gathered here. I have two announcements. The first is..."
"You're pregnant!" Elle exclaimed to Wilhemina.
"No! no, no. No one is pregnant," i dismissed it. "I got a job as a magician."
They all just stared at me. "Well, ehm, congratulations honey," my mom said with a forced smile. I knew that, in her opinion, wasn't the best way of making money in this world.
"And there is other news as well." I looked shyly at Wilhemina for help.
"What he is trying to say is that he is a werewolf." She said blankly without difficulty.
There were complete silence after that announcement. They all just stared at me.
"You're joking, right?" Elle said with disbelief in every syllable.
"No i'm not." I didn't know what else i could say. "Should i try changing?" I whispered into my girlfriends ear so the others wouldn't hear.
"No we don't want to frighten them," she whispered back.
"Are you really a werewolf?" Beatrice asked.
"Yes i am. And i'm happy about my choice so you don't have to worry about me at all."
"That is so cool!" Ian exclaimed. "My brother, the werewolf!"
I felt pride in my heart as Ian and Beatrice looked at me with admiration. I was now the cool big brother. Awesome!
"You need to leave. Like right now," it came from my mom. "I don't want a werewolf living under my roof. You are a danger to society and to my children."
"I'm your child too mom." I pointed out, hurt by her words.
"You have crossed the line this time Aidan. Now get out!"
"No mom," Beatrice whispered, heaving at my mothers sleeve.
"Yeah mom don't do it," Ian interfered.
"It's fine you guys. I don't want to be a burden. I'm going to live with Wilhemina. I need to be with my own kind from now on. You are all welcome to come visit me though. Any time you want, just call me." I looked hopefully at my two youngest siblings as they beamed up at me.
"They are not allowed to visit you. I said it before and I'll say it again. You need to leave at once!"
"I guess I'll go and pack then," I hung my head low as i walked out of the living room where i had so many memories of our family together, and walked up to my room with Wilhemina in tow. As i started packing, fury bobbled up inside of me. My own mother resented me. Wasn't she supposed to love me no matter what?
Beatrice's Pov
I love playing "Preside Over Royal Court"! It is the most fun game i have ever played!
Ian thought i was being silly when he saw me the other day. He's gotten so boring these last couple of years. All he ever does is either work out or paint.
He doesn't even want to play with me anymore. He says it is childish to play these silly games of pretend. I wish i had a playmate, but none of the kids in school wants to come home with me! It is so unfair. Just because i'm better than them in English and Math and Geology. It's not my fault i pick up on things that they don't! I hope things will get better once i am in High School next year. I can't wait. I'm gonna be 13! I hope there are some cute guys in my new class.
It is so cool that my big brother is a werewolf. My mom doesn't think so. She says he is a danger towards us and we are not allowed to go visit him, but i do it anyways without her knowing about it. I mostly visit him after school. I told my mom that i signed up for after school class in Ballet, but really i'm spending those hours at Aidan's place. He can howl at the moon! I tried doing it together with him, but i don't sound nothing like him. I told him i want to be just like him when i grow up, but he said he didn't want that for me. That there was a reason it was called a werewolf curse. I guess i wouldn't look as pretty then if i were a werewolf. Aidan sure isn't pretty anymore. He used to be handsome but now he looks like a monster.
Ian wants to visit him too but he's too scared of our mother to do anything about it. He keeps telling me not to do it, but i don't listen to him. If i want to see my older brother i should have the opportunity to do it whenever i want.
All my mom does these days is reading in this boring book she got from work. She says it is going to help her get a promotion.
1 Year Later
As I blew out my candles i wished to learn how to play guitar.
Afterwards it was Ian's turn to blow out his candles.Today was also Terrance's birthday. He turned 18 and was officially an adult and finished with High School.
Mom had thrown us all a big birthday party where all the family, except for Aidan, was invited. I had visited him the day before though and he had given me a guitar as a birthday present. My very own guitar! When my mom asked me where i got it i had just said i had bought it myself so i could learn how to play it. I loved music. It wasn't like i disliked art, i just didn't care for it. No, music and singing was much more my cup of tea. And of course animals. My love for animals had grown as i grew older. Now that i was a teenager i asked mom again if we could have a dog.
"We'll discuss it after the party honey." She always brushed it away like it was dust. "We'll discuss it later" or "You're too young" was her favorite sayings. I was not going to back down this time though. I wanted a dog! I knew i could take care of it, i just had to show her.
For Ian's and my birthday mom and Elle had redecorated our bedrooms. It was awesome!
They had really outdone themselves this time. We even had our own computer, even though they looked quite old. But i guess it was better than nothing. I loved my new bed. It was so pretty and pink! I thought Ian's bedroom was cool too. Though Pink and Sea Foam was my favorite colors. I also liked plain wood, without being painted, so i was glad i had a mixture of it all.
We went up to our rooms and changed into something more appropriate than our former clothes. Our mother had personally been out shopping for us.
Here is me:
Here is Ian:
And last but not least, Terrance:
He kept his long hair, but brushed away from his face. I thought it looked nice on him but mom wanted him to cut it short like Ian's. Thank god she can't decide for Terrance anymore.
After the party i approached mom again about the dog i wanted. "You're too young," she said once again.
"I'm 13 now mom! I can take care of myself AND a dog. Just give me a chance to prove it to you!"
I could tell she was considering it by the look she gave me.
"Alright, if you want it so bad. But consider it your birthday present. And i don't want any trouble with the dog. It is your responsibility. If you can't take care of it, it will have to go."
"Cool! Thanks mom," i said as i gave her a massive hug.
I started searching the computer for dogs immediately. She hadn't said whether it should be a big or a small dog, so i searched for both.
The next day was Terrance's graduation. He graduated with highest honor and was even picked for Valedictorian! That is huge! I hope i will do the same. His classmates nominated him for Having A Large Family. It fits him perfectly.
We met Aidan at City Hall. He had come to wish Terrance congratulations and was hoping to get to talk to our mother, but when she saw him she pushed us towards the cab and hurried us along. I looked back to see hurt spread across his face. It was so unfair. Just because mom wouldn't see him, we should still be able to talk to our brother.
Afterwards we all went to the restaurant for lunch.
