1.12 Marriage and Moving

Hans' Pov

Both my brothers had girlfriends and they were always hanging around, holding hands. I missed someone to hold my hand. I decided to try online dating. I turned on the computer and opened the browser to a dating site called www.meet-your-simparter-today.com. I started writing a profile. Hm.. I'm Friendly, Virtuoso, Easily Impressed, but i'm also Brave and Ambitious. Yes, that should work well on the ladies. I wrote a little about my history, and how to reach me. I waited a couple of days and then checked my messages. Five women had written me! So there were actually someone out there interested in me. Even though one of them was older than my mom, this was great news! I quickly replied, hoping to at least get one girls phone number.
A few days later i checked back again to find a girl named Charlotta Lobos had send me her number and a message that said: "You look cute. I think we should get together and chat. Want to go out for a bite?" I phoned her up and we agreed to meet at the bistro downtown.
As i sat in the cab on my way there, i kept thinking of how beautiful her picture had been. I hoped it was not a fake.
I arrived ten minutes later at the Bistro. I sat down at one of the tables and waited, listening to some lady who was playing on her guitar for tips. I got up and gave her a couple of bucks and sat down again.
I waited and waited. Finally, after an hour sitting in the darkness, i called her up. "I'm sorry, i got hung up on something else. Rain check?" "No thanks," I said, hanging up.
Well that blows. Now i was depressed, in the darkness, at a romantic bistro with couples all around me. Maybe online dating wasn't for me after all. Maybe i would never meet that one love that would hold you forever. What if i ended up alone?
Feeling even more depressed, i went home and took a cold shower to freshen up.

Bernards Pov

Diiing!
"Coming!" I called out to who ever was outside. I opened the door and outside stood Yvonne! As she went inside, i noticed that she walked a bit different. She was bigger too than when i had seen her last. Had she gained weight?
"Honey, i have something to tell you." She beamed. It made me a tad nervous. "I'm pregnant!" She almost yelled, overcome with joy.
"Pregnant?! Wow, we only did it once. Wow." It was surreal. Pregnant? How? I mean i know how, but... how?
"Do you want to feel it kick?"
"Yes," i said dumbfounded. And i felt it. A tiny kick against my hands. And then i knew everything would be alright. I knew what i had to do, for her, for the baby, for us.
"Yvonne, come with me outside for a moment." I said, maybe a bit more seriously than i meant, because she looked a little off.
"Okaaay."
We stood outside the house, the stars shining bright above us. "Yvonne, I want you to know that i love you. I love you more than words can describe. And now i know it is time for this."
I lowered myself to the ground, on one knee and pulled out a little black box.
"Yvonne, will you marry me?"
"Oh my god! Yes, yes, yes! I will." She cried with joy as i slid the ring on her finger.
"I want to marry you right here, right now. Make it official," I said.
And then we got married. We exchanged rings under the moonlight, a beautiful ceremony.

"Mom?"
"Mhm?" She came downstairs. "What is it hon?"
"I have something to tell you. I got married to Yvonne. And she is pregnant." I expected her to be hurt for not being there to witness the ring exchange, but she wasn't.
"Well that is wonderful for you, dear. Congratulations!" And she hugged me and kissed me on my cheek.
"There is one more thing though." This was what i was really afraid of. "We  have decided not to move with you, but to stay here in Riverview. We want to raise the child and future children in a calm environment with loads of corn fields and beautiful landscaping. Riverview is our home."

I could see on her face that she was sad. Then she embraced the news and said, "I understand dear. I wish it could be different, but i can see it from your side. Well, at least i'm trying to," she sent me a little sad smile.

Then she said: "I need to practice my guitar again." And she whipped out her guitar and started playing, humming to the melody.

A few days later, Yvonne and I had bought a house a little out of town. Yvonne's family was apparently rich so she had brought a large sum of money into the household, which meant that even though we couldn't afford something big and fancy, we still found a cute little house for our growing family. It had two bedrooms, a very large living/dining room, a large kitchen, two bathrooms and a little tile covered back yard.
We moved in immediately.

Alyca's Pov

I cried myself to sleep last night. Bernard was really grown up now. Married, expecting a child AND moved out! All in one go. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it. I knew he was happy, but it made me sad that he was gone. And the worst part was that he wouldn't be moving with us, so when would i see him again?
We had finally decided where we wanted to live. We had looked on the internet for "Cheap houses on sale" and we found a cute house in Moonlight Falls. It is rumored to hold great secrets about the citizens. We were all curious as to what the secrets were. What lay beyond the surface? What could we expect? Especially Rie was excited about it. Ever since Hans and I announced where we were moving to, she had researched the town herself and found out that there were rumored to live mystical creatures in the town.
"What a bunch of nonsense," Hans said. "There is no such thing as mystical creatures. It is fairytales. Don't buy into it." But Rie would not let it go so easily. She was determined to find out more when we arrived.
In the meanwhile, James had fallen in love with Malinda Richey. He begged me to invite her to move in because he wanted her to move with us to Moonlight Falls.
I told him i had to think about it, but i knew the outcome.
Within a week i asked Malinda to move in with us and she accepted.

The next day it was the triplets birthday. We celebrated quietly without a fuss because the next day we would be moving to Moonlight Falls and we had a lot of packing to do beforehand.
When they had grown up they all went to put on their new outfits and get a makeover.
Here is Rie:
She finally decided to lose the rebel style and go for a more mature look.

As James grew he learned that his eyesight was so bad that he needed glasses.

Camille is as beautiful as ever with her blond hair and skinny figure.

When the moving van arrived the next day, we said goodbye to the house we had lived in for years, for the last time. It was a day of a mixture of feelings. We felt sad to leave, happy to start a fresh and excited to experience new things and meet new friends. Maybe even love would appear for some of us.
We drove quietly out of town, never to look back.

Authors note: This is the end of Generation 1. There will be a chapter about each of the characters. Also i am making a chapter with Generation 1 Bloopers! I hope you enjoyed this Generation and that you will continue to read Generation 2! Thank you for joining me in this adventure :)
